
Greenville Township Emergency Services provides fire protection, emergency medical services, and rescue response to the residents of Greenville Township and surrounding communities through mutual aid partnerships.
With a combination of full-time, part-time, and volunteer personnel, the department responds to 3,500+ calls annually and remains committed to ongoing training and professional development.
History
Greenville Rescue began service on January 1, 1975, as an all-volunteer Emergency Medical Service. Originally located on the downtown square, the service later relocated to North Ohio Street.
In 1997, after 21 years as a non-profit organization, Greenville Rescue came under the authority of the Township of Greenville.

On January 1, 2008, the Greenville Township Fire Department was established to provide fire protection to unincorporated areas of the township and to offer mutual aid to neighboring communities.
In 2017, the Fire Division and EMS Division merged to form Greenville Township Emergency Services.

The department is staffed by a dedicated team of full-time, part-time, and volunteer personnel.
Community Programs & Services
CPR Training
Open enrollment CPR classes are held on the first Saturday of each month (unless in falls on a holiday weekend). No pre-registration is required. Private or group classes may also be arranged.

Ohio Buckles Buckeyes (OBB) Car Seat Program
Greenville Township Emergency Services is an official Buckles Buckeyes Car Seat Program site, with four certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians available to inspect and properly install car seats.

Safe Haven Baby Box
On November 3, 2023, Greenville Township Emergency Services became the 11th Safe Haven Baby Box location in Ohio.
